Synopsis

Late one Thursday night, the world came to an end.  Four survivors hole up inside Royal Pointe Mall - a skeevy, low end mall and probably the best place to be during the apocalypse.  The doors are gated, the windows are boarded, and with a budget wholesale store on the same premises, Rose, Ellanie, Flynn, and Adam have access to plenty of food, water and survival goods.

With a roof over their heads and resources to go around, the four strangers choose to wait out the crisis in the relative comfort the mall offers.

And they wait.  And they wait.  As the days turn into weeks, and the weeks turn into months, the four survivors adapt to their new living situation - and more importantly, to each other.

Adam, the narrator of the story, takes the audience through slices of life inside Royal Point, sharing both the important moments and the tedium.

As comfortable as their set-up may be, however, the survivors are still four, lonely people who have lost absolutely everything, and the reality of their situation begins to set in after one of their members, Flynn, is seriously injured during a supply run.

There is no one left who can save them.

Characters

Adam

The show’s narrator and the heart of the group, Adam leads the survivors with compassion and a desperate need to please.  He likes to come off as earnest and kind, but as his narration reveals, he can be a bit coy and cocky when the mood strikes.  Adam suffers from long-term, clinical depression, and while he can fight it off when he’s busy, it creeps up on him when life calms down.

Ellanie

Brash to the point of rudeness and prone to leaning on others for support, Ellanie is constantly confronted by what she believes she is capable of - and what she thinks is beyond her ability.  Ellanie and Flynn have a rather antagonistic relationship, but she gets along well with Adam and Rose.

Rose

An avid fan of comics and superheroes, Rose is light-hearted and jovial despite the situation in which he has landed.  He likes kids, and views the other three characters in a childish light.  He sees them as something to be protected, but is not sure he’s the right person for the job.

Flynn

Flynn sees his own wants and needs as taking priority over those around him, but while egocentric, he is ultimately well-meaning.  He likes to bicker, and is usually the instigator whenever a fight occurs.
